booking & Cancellation Policy
All services booked through The Clyde Greenock are subject to the following policy which will be enforced in all circumstances. You will be required to provide credit card details as security.
As a quality, boutique accommodation provider, late cancellations often result in an empty property which has a significant impact on our business. The booking and cancellation policies stated here, does offer a Co-Vid19 Flexible option.
Therefore, travel insurance is strongly recommended for all bookings to provide adequate protection against unforeseen circumstances and cancellation of travel.
Deposit and Refund Policy – Co-Vid19 response
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance of payment is due 7 days prior to the arrival date. If final payment is not made 7 days prior to the arrival date, we have the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let the property.
CoVid19 – If a cancellation needs to be made due to imposed restrictions from Co-Vid19, in the first instance you will be given an opportunity to postpone booking, or given a full refund for all monies paid.
In every other instance, cancellation prior to 30 days before the booking will incur a $50 administration fee and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded.
Cancellation within 30 days of booking will forfeit all moneys paid unless we are able to rebook the property for the entire period. When you decide to book, the deposit is payable by either Visa or MasterCard or we will advise you of our bank account details for EFT. A booking is not confirmed until the deposit is paid, and the guest’s details form completed. Payment of the deposit constitutes the guest’s acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
We do not request a bond however on confirmation of booking you will be required to produce a credit card to be recorded for security purposes. It will be used to pay for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared i.e. any breach of these conditions.
2 nights minimum stay. Long weekends and public holidays may attract a longer minimum stay requirement. 1 night stays may be negotiated with Janine.
Collection of Keys
A confirmation email will be sent 24 hours prior to your arrival detailing access codes to gain entry into The Clyde. We do ask you provide an ETA of your arrival so we can ensure the property is well prepared (ie heating/cooling on) ready for your comfort.
Check In – Check Out
Check in after 2.30pm – Check out before 10.30 am (unless prior arrangements have been made). An additional fee may be charged if you do not check out by 10.30am. Early arrivals and late checkouts are at the discretion of management and must be requested at the time of booking. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals and late departures, the only way to absolutely ensure early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra night or half day where availability permits. Half day rates are charged at 50% of the nightly tariff and will extend check out time until 2.00pm.
If you fail to check in by midnight on your scheduled arrival day, we will consider that you have cancelled your booking and you will be charged in accordance with the cancellation policy above.
In common with the Holiday Rental Code of Conduct the following conditions apply for use of our facilities:
Rates and Charges
The Clyde is an exclusive occupancy property. Our facilities are for the use and enjoyment of paying guests only. At no time during your occupancy is the number of guests staying to exceed the number booked.
The tariff applies to 2 people sharing the same room. This includes all linen, luxury toiletries, breakfast provisions for one day along with a selection of local beer/cider and a bottle of Barossa wine on arrival. Condiments, Tea, Coffee and Pantry Staples are provided. Complimentary WIFI and Netflix are included in tariff. *Prices are subject to change and should be confirmed. Where two people require separate rooms, an additional charge of $60.00 will apply. Bedrooms not booked will be closed during your stay.
Credit Cards: we accept phone and online payments by Visa and Mastercard (a 1.75% fee is payable on credit card payments)
EFT: To make a fee free payment as a direct deposit from your bank into ours.
Children and Infants
Children’s prices for accommodation are included in the standard tariff rates and refer to children using existing bedding. Infants under 12 months of age are included with a paying adult and it is expected they will sleep in adult’s room. If a portacot is required an additional charge of $50.00 will be charged. Guests to provide linen for cot, unless negotiated prior.
We do not allow pets.
If you wish to invite another person/s to visit you during your stay, you need to make arrangements to do so with us as we incur additional costs (both directly and through wear and tear) if additional people use the property facilities and grounds.
We do allow our facilities to be used as a venue to get ready for a wedding. However, we do ask that you inform us of this when booking.
The advertised rate is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly, the advertised rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, utility usage, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc.
A mid stay service can be arranged during your stay for an additional charge, at a cost to you. Please contact Janine for further details.
Maintenance: for reasons of safety we reserve the right to enter the property to repair any fault.
The Wine Fridge: The fridge is stocked with wine for guests convenience and is managed via an honour system. The wines are of differing value. Please make your selections wisely and ensure the form identifying your purchase is completed accurately. Payment will be deducted from your credit card upon vacating the property. Please ask all persons before departure regarding their consumption as the person who made the booking will be responsible for payment.
Balcony: Children are not allowed on the front balcony unless under the immediate supervision of their guardian. The guardian takes full responsibility for the welfare of children when staying at The Clyde.
Pool: Only paying guests permitted use of inground pool. All children must be supervised by adult at all times, with recommendations of bouyancy life vests to be used. No glass whatsoever in pool courtyard. No jumping/diving into pool due to unsafe depths.
Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. We would appreciate it if you respected The Clyde Greenock and grounds are part of our home. Also respect the privacy of other neighbours and their enjoyment by keeping noise in the grounds to a minimum. If a noise complaint is received a first warning will be given, if a second complaint is received this will result in immediate eviction with no refunds.
All care is to be taken when using anything in the establishment and while on the grounds. It is a condition of booking that all guests read and understand the important safety information that is provided and to take all reasonable care during their stay. Smoking inside the house is strictly prohibited. If there is any evidence of smoking inside rooms you will be charged with an additional cost for a specialised clean to remove odours. If smoking outside, please use provided waste containers, do not leave butts on ground. Repair costs of accidental or wilful damage will be charged against the credit card given as security.
The Clyde Greenock is to be left in a clean and tidy condition as you found it. Place all rubbish in the bins provided, wipe kitchen surfaces with the cloth provided, and either use the dishwasher provided to clean your dishes and glasses or hand wash them in the sink with the cleaning detergent provided. Grounds are to be left tidy and free of rubbish/cigarettes/bottles and the like. All additional cleaning will be charged at $40/hour against the credit card given as security. Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms.
Loss of Keys will incur a $50.00 replacement charge.
You acknowledge that we do not accept liabitity for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions due to electrical storms or other act of Gods caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.
You agree that regardless of your length of stay in there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord or Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay.
